Legalization or apostille

Legalization or apostille - which procedure applies to me?

Check the website to see if the country you are going to is a party to the Hague Convention on the Abolition of the Requirement of Legalisation of Foreign Documents.

1) LEGALIZATION - Like the apostille clause, the legalisation of a document (e.g. secondary school graduation certificate, eligibility letter, undergraduate diploma) is the official certification of its authenticity. You will need it in order to study legally in Poland and the country where you received the document is not a party to the Hague Convention. Only in this way will they gain legal force abroad.

Obtaining legalization in the country where the document was issued is only the first step towards their recognition by the authorities abroad. Such documents must be additionally certified by a diplomatic or consular office of Poland.
If you do not take care of this stage, your documents will not have any legal value.
