University of Economy have over 30 different sports club to choose from, all of them associated in the University Sports Association (AZS). Most of the clubs are open to all UoE students of any skill level, and some of them unite only professional sportsmen studying at the university.

The sports clubs at the university succeed in sport competitions at regional, nationwide and international level. Eight students from our university took part in the London 2012 Olympics and three of them: Beata Mikołajczyk, Magdalena Fularczyk and Adrian Zieliński won medals. In addition, UoE students are winners of many other international sport competitions.

Our Olympians spotlight


Polish sprint canoer who won the silver medal in          K-2 500 m event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She won the bronze  medal in K-2 500 m event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.  Beata Mikołajczyk is a gold medalist in the K-2 1000 m event at the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Dartmouth.

Polish weightlifter who won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's 85 kg category with a total of 385 kg. He is the gold medalist of the 2010 World Championships in Antalya, Turkey with a 383 kg total. Adrian Zieliński is the world and polish champion of weightlifting
